In few other editions have there been so many opportunities for discovery, thanks especially to two of the main retrospectives, one focused on Latin America with films from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, and Uruguay; the other on Uzbekistan, with works that deserve to be known far beyond its borders. Thanks to the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, two of the feature films on the program will be accompanied by Uzbek musicians with traditional instruments, while the Foundation’s sponsorship of an exhibition of posters and photographs will further enrich this unique program.
